Electives

With the creation of High School Choice, CLASS no longer offers courses defined as electives. Instead, you may choose (or allow us to select) all of the courses your student will take. This includes courses in all required areas of study, as well as those previously defined as electives. While some courses do incur an additional charge, most do not.

Independent Bible

You may substitute your own Bible course for our standard Bible assignment provided your course meets the parameters of our Independent Bible Policy.

Note, however, that CLASS issues no academic credit for independent Bible courses. This may cause problems for high school students if additional courses must be taken to meet minimum credit requirements for graduation.

Driver Education

CLASS does not offer any driver education courses. However, some states allow you to take this course from your own home. Please check with your state’s DMV office.
 

Health

CLASS does not offer any health courses. If you wish to pursue this subject, you will need to do so on a supplemental basis.
 

Foreign History

If you are a non-U.S. student, you are probably required to take your own nation’s history course in addition to those offered by CLASS. These materials must be purchased and completed on a supplemental basis. Once completed, we recommend you send us an official transcript showing the final grade and (if applicable) academic credit, which will be placed in your student’s cumulative records file.
 

State History

Christian Liberty does not offer individual state courses. To meet any requirements your state may have in this subject area, you will need to purchase and complete the appropriate materials on a supplemental basis. Once completed, we recommend you send us an official transcript showing the final grade and (if applicable) academic credit, which will be placed in your student’s cumulative records file.

Most states require a state history course sometime prior to graduation; check to see if the course is required at a specific grade level. You should be able to obtain this information, as well as what resources are available, through your local library.
