What Is CLASS?

To learn more about what CLASS Homeschools is, review this page and use the drop down menu above or the links provided below.

CLASS is a pioneer of the modern home school movement and has helped thousands of families to get started—and succeed—in home schooling. CLASS consists of thousands of home schools throughout the United States and around the world, with students ranging in age from four to adult. CLASS is accredited by the National Association of Private Schools. Our graduates are being accepted by leading colleges, universities, and military academies.

How it Works

When you enroll, CLASS assembles the curriculum best fitted for your child based on standardized test scores and other academic information, and your course choices, in accord with CLASS curriculum requirements. Books and materials are chosen from a variety of carefully selected publishers. In addition to the publishers routinely assigned within our standard curriculum, CLASS offers alternate publishers in certain course categories for selected grade levels. If you request an alternate course, CLASS will assign it provided that your student’s academic background and standardized test scores are appropriate for the grade level. After you begin working with our curriculum, you may request a new assignment if a particular course proves inappropriate.

Your curriculum will include management tools such as our CLASS Handbook and Lesson Planner* to help you organize and document your school year. Our Customer Service Department answers questions about the administration of your school.

*Those interested in a digital version of a lesson planner may want to consider using a free online application such as Homeschool SkedTrack. CLASS is not affiliated with Homeschool SkedTrack and is providing a link to their site as a suggestion rather than an endorsement of their product.

If you enroll in the CLASS Plan, we provide grading, report cards, diplomas, and a transcript—all at no extra cost.

If you enroll in the Family Plan, you grade your student’s work and develop your own report cards, diplomas, and transcripts.

Both plans provide you with a variety of materials and services, such as a math email helpline for 7th grade and above, and an algebra tutorial—at no extra cost.

A Flexible, Affordable Partnership

If you are looking for an inexpensive way to educate your child that is almost as flexible as independent homeschooling, but gives you access to services that save you many hours of work, then use the navigation bar on the left to learn more.

Godly Education and Academic Excellence

Adding a Bible course to a secular curriculum does not constitute a Christian education. Your children’s education should be thoroughly Christian in philosophy and content. A Christian curriculum without high academic standards does not glorify God. CLASS considers both godly education and academic excellence to be of great importance.
